    Farnham Park Management Committee gets underway

    BSUK has formed a Management Committee, made up of BSUK staff and community members, to oversee operation of the new purpose-built baseball and softball facilities at Farnham Park, with some members of the Committee still to be appointed.  But the group held a productive first meeting on January 24.

    BSUK and BSF to share new staff role

    BSUK and the BSF have come to an agreement to share the cost of a new BSUK staff position that will be appointed before the end of November.  The main responsibilities of the post for the BSF will be to direct national team programmes and the Great Britain Fastpitch League, while responsibilities for BSUK will include talent development, oversight and management of the new facilities being built at Farnham Park and the development of community programming in the area served by Farnham Park.

    BSUK given another Green Light rating from Sport England

    For the 4th straight year, BaseballSoftballUK has received the top mark—a Green Light rating—for its annual Self Assurance submission to Sport England.

    British Baseball Federation Seeks Directors for BSUK Board

    The BBF are recruiting from the baseball community to fill vacancies on the Board of Directors for their national development agency, BaseballSoftballUK Ltd. Interested candidates can apply online.

    New BSUK Chair appointed

    John Walmsley has been appointed as the new Chair of BSUK Ltd, replacing Geof Ellingham, who is stepping down after five years in the role. John will take up the post following the BSUK AGM in November.

    James Pearce resigns from the BSUK and BBF Boards

    James Pearce, a long-standing member of the BSUK Board and Development Strategy Committee, and the Development Official on the BBF Board, has resigned from all three positions due to professional and personal commitments.

    Preparation starts now for the next Whole Sport Plan

    Since 2009, BaseballSoftballUK has been funded in large part by Sport England through the Whole Sport Plan system, which provides financial support for development on behalf of the British Baseball and Softball Federations.
