We are determined to develop an operating model for both sports that gets more people playing, in more places, safely. It’s an exciting time for the sports and Victoria will add greatly to our efforts as we move forward.”

Commenting on her appointment, Victoria said, "I am honoured to be joining the BaseballSoftballUK Board at such an important time for the organisation. Safeguarding is fundamental to building trust, creating positive experiences and ensuring sport is accessible to everyone. I look forward to working with the Board, staff and wider community to help strengthen safeguarding across baseball and softball and support the continued growth and success of the sport."

BaseballSoftballUK CEO James Burton added, "We are excited to welcome Victoria to the BSUK Board. Safeguarding is a vitally important function for a National Governing Body and is essential for the future of baseball and softball. Victoria’s extensive safeguarding & leadership experience will be essential in ensuring the future NGB is fit for the future. We are excited to work with her as BSUK, the BBF and BSF continue to work towards a single, strong and sustainable NGB for our sports. "

Board appointments to BSUK are made on two-year terms, up to six years. Victoria's appointment to the Board will transfer to the future National Governing Body should the process to create OneOrg be successful.
