The 27th annual Chris Moon Memorial Softball World Series took place on 12-13 September at the National Baseball & Softball Complex at Farnham Park, with the British Isles taking home their first title! The tournament featured 16 teams made up of compatriots, including four visiting international sides: Regining champions the Kingdom of the Netherlands, 2025 winners UCE Travellers from Germany, the Belgium Bats and Team Ireland. As is tradition at the Softball World Series, most teams wore brightly coloured uniforms and fancy dress to bring a lot of colour and national pride the event - along with tonnes and tonnes of international food and snacks!

After 7 round-robin games, the British Isles were unbeaten, with UCE Travellers, Team ‘Merica and Kingdom of Netherlands each losing just once. With the semifinals set, the British Isles found themselves as the only team in contention that had never won the tournament - against a combined 10 championships split between the three other sides.

The first semifinal saw the USE Travellers defeat Kingdom of the Netherlands 17-16 with a walk off single, while the British Isles narrowly defeated Team ‘Merica 17-14. The final saw the winning side score 17 runs for the third consecutive game, with the British Isles taking the championship 17-8 over the Travellers.

As a fitting tribute to the tournament namesake, longtime British and European umpire Chris Moon, this year's edition served as a WBSC Europe Umpire assessments event, with three umpires getting real game experience to practice the mechanicas of a 3-person crew.
