About the event:
Manchester's eigth annual LGBTQ+ Softball Tournament, run in partnership with Pride Sports, will be a great competition for new teams, full of fun and colour -- a perfect way to support the LGBT community while playing softball. The tournament will be played using BaseballSoftballUK’s Inclusive Softball Rules and will raise funds for the Pride Youth Games.
Team composition:
We want everyone to have a great time in this tournament, this is a Rec tournaments so please balance your team for games to be fair and fun.
Try to have a Maximum of 2 players of NSL 1 and NSL 2 playing standard per team. You may bring more players of that standard but they should try not to play at the same time. Check with Linni or Luis if in doubt.
Other rules that apply at the tournament are: -
- Indoor / Safety balls will be used as standard, unless both captains agree to use outdoor balls.
- All walks will be worth two bases (if using indoor balls). -
- Helmets will be compulsory for all batters and runners.
