Terms and Conditions
This statement is intended to indicate the commitment by the listed Club/League and BaseballSoftballUK to each other under the Development Charter. It will set out the basic terms of agreement for each partner and indicate a willingness to work for the mutual benefit of the sports of baseball and softball. The Charter is a mechanism for any club or league to access development and safeguarding services from BaseballSoftballUK (BSUK).
Central to our “Two Sports, One Ambition” Strategy, the Charter is at the heart of our strategic priority to provide ‘efficient grassroots support services’.
Through a dedicated development team, each organisation signed up to the Charter can access the expertise on offer from BaseballSoftballUK through the staff team and our resources.
Signing up to the Charter is free of charge. Please note that all British Baseball Federation and British Softball Federation members are automatically enrolled in the Charter. It is a requirement to be affiliated with either or both of the British Baseball Federation and British Softball Federation in order to access the Charter, with the exception of University (BUCS) clubs.
By signing up to the Charter, your Club/League will be able to access development support to help you become safer, stronger and sustainable.
Working directly with our staff team, you will be able to access advice and guidance in the following areas and more:
- Relationship building and connectivity with local networks
- Club/league management
- Recruitment of players
- Facility and field development
- Coach education
- Youth development
- Fundraising and grant applications
- Safeguarding – including a free DBS checking service
- Receive regular communications from BSUK, including the Clubhouse Newsletter.
Safeguarding:
By signing up to the Development Charter, your Club/League is committing to operating within BaseballSoftballUK’s safeguarding policies and procedures. For further details on what these are can be found here.
Please note that all British Baseball Federation and British Softball Federation-affiliated clubs are already committed to all of the above, in addition to their Federation's specific rules.
