MLB Home Run Derby X is coming up next Saturday, 9 July at Crystal Palace Park – and British baseball and softball will be there!

We are delighted that British Baseball and Softball will have a physical presence at next weekend’s MLB’s Home Run Derby Event, with a social space run by the British Baseball Federation, British Softball Federation, and BaseballSoftballUK!

Located on the northwest side of the HRDX site, between the Fan Zone and the bar – the perfect place to grab a snack, drink a pint, and talk all things British baseball and softball! The social space will feature information on how anyone can get involved in the sports as well as many familiar faces from our own community! The map shows the approximate location of the space.

If you have an hour or two to spend, we are looking for one or two more volunteer members of our community to help get people into the sport and talk to the public. Get in touch here if you’re interested.

Home Run Derby X will feature four teams - the Red Sox, Yankees, Dodgers and Cubs – who will compete on a modified field featuring a raised home plate, rules similar to popular MVP Baseball 2005 mini-games, and players, celebrities, and special guests at each stop. Each team will be represented by four individuals – an MLB Legend, a Superstar, a content-creator Wild Card and a Rookie – with the four rookies in London all from the GB Baseball National Team!

Make sure to keep an eye on BaseballSoftballUK’s social media for the exact location on What3Words on the day of the event, and we can’t wait to see you there!
