LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM – BaseballSoftballUK, the development and performance agency for baseball and softball in the United Kingdom, has today announced changes to its organisational structure.

With MLB games in London, qualification to the World Baseball Classic, World Cup campaigns in both baseball and softball, government investment in grassroots and elite baseball and softball, and GB’s goal to represent Great Britain at the LA 2028 Olympics, the landscape for baseball and softball in the UK is ripe with potential for growth and development. Recently, the British Baseball Federation published their long-term document titled Our Vision for the growth and development of the sport.

“As baseball and softball in the UK continue to develop and grow, so too must BaseballSoftballUK evolve. We have undertaken an extensive process and are making significant changes,” said CEO John Boyd. “While we know this to be the right step forward, change comes with difficulties. We remain laser-focused on the use of our resources and have worked in collaboration with the British Baseball Federation and British Softball Federation to identify ways of working that will propel us towards our shared vision of advancing baseball and softball in the UK.”

“With a renewed organisational structure focused on coaching, club, grassroots and youth development, we are poised to unlock new opportunities that align to the NGBs vision for the growth and development of our sports,” Boyd added.
