BaseballSoftballUK is excited to announce three Slowpitch Softball tournaments for summer 2024 - the Coronation Cup, the Jubilee Cup, and the Slowpitch Cup!

The Coronation Cup will take place over the 4-5 of May, marking the first anniversary of the Coronation of King Charles III. We'll have softball royalty and dignitaries from around the UK gather at Farnham Park to crown a new Cup Champion across three divisions - one COMP and two REC - and the tournament will be contested under the very popular Fully-Loaded rules

The Jubilee Cup will be on 1-2 June, marking the weekend that saw Queen Elizabeth II celebrate the Platinum Jubilee and 70 years on the throne just two years ago. With Jubilees occurring in June as far back as 1897, during the reign of Queen Victoria, this year's event will be quite regal - teams are encouraged to dress the part! The Jubilee Cup will only be open to REC level teams this year, and is the perfect tournament for new teams and players to get playing!

Last year was action-packed - watch the highlights below!

The Slowpitch Cup will be held on 3-4 August, with two divisions for REC. While there's no royal tie-in, there will be a few special surprises in August - and the only way to participate will be to play! Individual players can register for the Scratch Team, with at least one Scratch team guaranteed for the tournament - a great way for new players to get in the game!

Any profits generated from these three events will be directly invested into the development of baseball and softball, including the day-to-day operation of Farnham Park, in line with BSUK’s mission and not-for-profit status.

Tournament Grades/Levels

For all three tournaments, the following grade/level rules are in place:

  • COMP has no player restrictions
  • Upper REC means no NSL1 players and a maximum of two NSL2 players per team
  • Lower REC means no NSL1 players and a maximum of one NSL2 player
  • B-Grade means no NSL1 players and no NSL2 players.

Registration

Registration for all three tournaments will take place via Eventbrite. For each tournament, the team entry fee is £350. For the August Cup, individual registration is available on Eventbrite, here.

Team Captains can reserve a place by registering for a ticket, and will be invoiced the final amount. Please note that the person who registers a team will be responsible for the final payment, and teams will not be able to participate if they have an outstanding balance.
