North West Series Softball being played at the Soccer Factory in Rochedale

The Camels came out victorious at the North West Indoor Softball Tournament held at the Soccer Factory in Rochedale on 28 November - the first indoor tournament of the season!  After six hours of play, the dedication and skill of the team paid off.  Winning a tournament is always a significant accomplishment and reflects the hard work and teamwork of the players.

Lytham St Annes won the Plate competition, and it was evident all day that both teams - in fact, all of the competing teams-  put forth their best effort - a great sign for tournaments to come.

The tournament started with round-robin play to separate the top teams from the lower teams. A second round-robin between each of those groups set up for the semifinals, with the top teams in each group advancing to the Cup and Plate Finals.

We want to thank all captains for entering their teams, in particular Jenny Helget Clark for making the trip from Scotland with the Hairy Coos.

Tournament Organiser and BaseballSoftballUK Development Manager Luis Arrevillagas commented, "Such tournaments not only showcase the talent and competitive spirit of the teams but also contribute to the growth and promotion of the sport. It's a testament to the passion and commitment of the players, coaches, and everyone involved in organising and participating in the event. Whether it's the thrill of victory or the lessons learned from the competition, these tournaments play a crucial role in shaping the softball community and fostering a love for the game. Once again, congratulations to the Camels and Lytham St Annes on their achievements in the North West Indoor Softball tournament!"
