    Hartpury College in Gloucestershire once again hosted the finals of the Gloucestershire School Games softball competition on Thursday 15 June, and after a hard day’s play, it was Archway School from Stroud that emerged victorious to retain their title from the previous summer.

    Second North West Series tournament to run in Manchester on July 1

    The second one-day slowpitch softball tournament in the North West Series, designed as a great introduction to softball for rookie teams or for C-grade and D-grade rec teams looking to have some fun, will be played on Saturday 1 July at Parrs Wood High School in Didsbury, Manchester.

    More players, more chances: Herts Rec League launches

    Herts has added an exciting new element to its baseball and softball programme, with pay-as-you-go games for both experienced and novice players.  The Herts Rec League will run on Saturdays over the summer, with mixed teams playing time-limited games.

    Softball in the UK has a long history of being a welcoming and inclusive sport for members of the LGBT community, and BSUK’s work LGBT groups in London and Manchester has paid dividends in terms of increased participation, particularly in slowpitch softball.
