    Registration open for MLB Cup London 2019 Workshops

    As you will already be aware, Major League Baseball (MLB) will be hosting two regular-season MLB games in Europe for the very first time. Two giants of baseball, the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees, will resume one of the most heated rivalries in professional sport on 29 and 30 June in the Mitel & MLB Present London Series 2019.

    Extra BSUK Slowpitch Academy session to be held at Farnham Park

    Following very successful first sessions for BSUK’s Slowpitch Academy held indoors in West London on 27 April and 4 May, it has now been announced that an additional session will be held at Farnham Park on Saturday 22 June.

    Slowpitch modular coaching courses set to run in London on 12 May

    Two three-hour modular courses open to all slowpitch coaches and players – one on slowpitch pitching and the other on drills for beginner coaches—will be delivered in London on Sunday 12 May by GB Slowpitch Assistant Coach David Lee.

    Coach award winners named at BSUK’s 2019 Coach Summit

    Six prestigious awards for coaching and one award for volunteer services were presented at a ceremony following the 2019 BaseballSoftballUK Coach Summit on Saturday 26 January in Milton Keynes.

    Candidates shortlisted for 2019 BSUK Coach Awards

    A large number of nominations have been received for BaseballSoftballUK’s 2019 Coach Awards, and three people have now been shortlisted in each of the seven categories.

    BSUK to run Coach Award Courses in North and South in February

    BSUK will be running two Coach Award Courses in February, one in St Albans and one in Manchester.  The courses are equivalent to a Level 2 qualification, and both will run over three weekend days.

    HPA hosts 53 athletes this off-season

    BSUK’s High Performance Academy class for the 2018-2019 off-season currently has a total of 53 athletes aged between 13 and 19 taking part—38 from baseball and 15 from fastpitch softball.

    Ed Blankmeyer to be keynote baseball speaker at the 2019 Coach Summit

    Ed Blankmeyer, the winningest coach in the history of the baseball programme at NCAA Division 1 St John’s University in New York City, has been announced as the keynote baseball speaker at BSUK’s 2019 Coach Summit.

    Manchester baseball/softball junior sessions re-launch for the autumn

    BSUK junior baseball/softball sessions are coming back for the autumn season in Manchester, starting on Sunday 7 October on Pitch 5 at Powerleague Trafford and running on Sunday afternoons from 2.00-3.00 pm through to December.
