Renegurls captain Aimee Dyble reported, “Single Sex Indoor Tournament was one of the best tournaments that we have played. As a team, it was just our second outing. 11 wins in 13 games saw us top the day and the day ended beautifully with a tense final against Camels. The Renegurls are buzzing! Single-sex tournaments like this allow us to improve our game, play new positions and learn from the best. The actual highlight of my day was finally winning a BSUK cap in the instant raffle! Huge thanks to my team and Linni and Luis for organising.”

Speaking about the Tournament, BaseballSoftballUK North West Coach Linni Mitchell said, “This is the third indoor single-sex tournament we have run in Manchester in the last twelve months, and each time we get more teams entering. Players love the fast paced games and especially enjoy the number of games we cram into one tournament. Each team played a minimum of twelve games, which is great value for the entry fee! We’d like to thank all captains, especially those who brought teams from as far as Bracknell and Nottingham; having traveling teams adds another element of competition for all teams.”

Luis Arrevillagas, BSUK Regional Development Manager added, “In March 2019 we ran our first indoor single sex tournament with eight teams, so we’re happy that the appetite is growing for single-sex teams! We’re excited to continue to grow and welcome more teams every tournament. Congratulations to Latinos and Renegurls on your performances throughout the day, two well deserved winners!”
