High Performance Academy to hold tryouts

Tue 19 Sep 2017

On Sunday 24 September, BaseballSoftballUK will hold a tryout day for baseball and fastpitch softball players aged 13-19 for its successful talent development programme, the High Performance Academy (HPA), for the 2017-18 off-season.

The tryout day will be at Farnham Park near Slough, the home of British Baseball and Softball, with registration from 10.30 am and the tryouts running from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm. HPA staff will put the players through their paces to see if they have what it takes to gain a place on this flagship baseball and softball programme.

The HPA aims to create the best training environment possible for Britain’s developing baseball and fastpitch talent, including access to top-class strength and conditioning, nutrition, sports psychology and mentoring alongside instruction from the UK’s most experienced coaches. Many HPA graduates have gone on to represent their country, play in professional leagues, and/or play their sport at college in the United States.

So whether you’re British or just UK-based, if you want to maximise your potential as a player you need to be at Farnham Park this Sunday!
