Youth coaches, umpires and athletes can apply to attend YST Talent Camp

Wed 9 Sep 2015

BaseballSoftballUK is now accepting applications from aspiring young coaches and umpires, and from athletes who attend BSUK’s High Performance Academy, who want to be part of the first-ever baseball and softball cohort to attend the annual Youth Sport Trust National Talent Camp.

Applicants must:

  • Be aged 14-19, but not yet enrolled in university.
  • Available to attend the YST National Talent Camp at Loughborough University from 18-21 December 2015.
  • Committed to supporting the delivery of baseball and softball in their local community during the spring and summer of 2016.

No prior qualifications are needed for coaches and umpires who wish to attend the National Talent Camp, as these will be included and updated as part of selection.  Sixteen places are available at the camp for young baseball and fastpitch coaches and umpires.

All athletes selected to the National Talent Camp will be chosen from BSUK’s High Performance Academy.  Baseball and fastpitch softball athletes will have seven places each at the National Talent Camp.

More details on the 2015-16 HPA and Academy programmes will be released shortly.

Application deadline

The deadline to apply for the National Talent Camp as a coach, umpire or athlete is 5:00 pm Wednesday 30 September and an application form can be completed here

If you have any questions about the application process or what the Talent Camp programme entails -- or in which capacity you want to apply for the Talent Camp -- please contact BSUK National Development Manager Will Lintern.
