2015Sefton Sharks Softball awarded £3003 to grow the sport year round
The Sefton Sharks Softball Club, formed in 2012 as one of the founding teams in the Sefton Softball League, has been awarded £3003 through a Sport England Small Grant to enable the club to hire an indoor venue so they can remain active throughout the winter.

2015Birmingham Bandits to run Baseball for Beginners course
The Birmingham Bandits from the BBF’s Triple-A Central Division will be running a Baseball for Beginners course in partnership with Sportivate. The course will begin on Wednesday 27 May and run for an initial period of six weeks.

BSUK is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Sport England Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (Sport England TASS), a government-funded programme that provides a partnership between talented young athletes, National Governing Bodies, and the Higher Education (university) and Further Education (college/school) sector.

A partnership between BSUK and the Solent Softball League has helped to create two new teams this season as part of plans by the league to expand to a new base in Southampton and to other areas along the South Coast.

2014Hull Scorpions awarded grant to set up community youth league
The Hull Scorpions Baseball Club has just received a grant of £1230 from a government fund called Community First to set up a youth baseball/softball league in a deprived area of the city called the St Andrews Ward.

2014Chichester Falcons set up youth softball club
The Chichester Falcons from the Solent Softball League, with help from Sport England and BSUK, is setting up the city’s first youth softball club. Softball sessions for boys and girls aged 12-16 will get under way at 6.00 pm on Monday 9 June at Oaklands Park, Chichester PO19 6AP.

The new Sefton Softball League on Merseyside has received a second Sport England Small Grant, this time for £9341, to be used for equipment, facilities, umpire training and marketing.
