About the Coach Summit

BaseballSoftballUK has announced that the 2019 Coach Summit will be held on Saturday 26 January. After last year's highly successful Coach Summit, the 2019 summit will be returning to Milton Keynes, again hosted at the Kents Hill Park Training & Conference Centre in Milton Keynes.

The general theme of this year's summit will be preparing for the future of baseball and softball in the UK. With participation levels in the sports at an all-time high, the reintroduction of both baseball and fastpitch softball into the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the 2019 MLB London Series on the horizon, it is crucial to the future success of the sports in this country that our coaches are ready.

The summit will feature keynote speeches, workshops and seminars – with a focus towards baseball and fastpitch softball but will include content of interest for slowpitch coaches as well. The event will be attended by international coaches of great experience and credibility in their own fields and is a highlight of BaseballSoftballUK's Coach Education Programme. We will be announcing keynote speakers and more details of the specific workshops over the coming months.

Several other events will be combined with the Coach Summit itself over the weekend of 26-27 January in Milton Keynes:

National Higher Education Baseball & Softball Conference: Aimed at university baseball and softball teams, the conference has been run in parallel to the summit in recent years, and is likely to run again in 2019, and may also include a Little League focused session.

British Baseball & Softball Coach Awards 2019: The awards will again be staged in conjunction with the summit – taking place directly after the conclusion of the summit on Saturday evening. These awards recognise and celebrate the very best of baseball and softball coaching in the UK in the past 12 months. For more information, please visit the Awards page.

High Performance Academy sessions: On Sunday 27 January, the keynote speakers will lead and deliver hands-on coaching sessions in nearby sports halls in Milton Keynes to athletes from the baseball and softball High Performance Academy, as well as classroom sessions. They will be joined by coaches from the High Performance Academy.
