Coaching in Schools
BaseballSoftballUK has a growing number of field staff able to facilitate the delivery of baseball and/or softball programmes and initiatives in schools and local communities.
While BSUK field staff are concentrated in our priority areas – London, the South East, the North West and the West Midlands – we do have some capacity for projects and delivery in other areas.
There are two categories of BSUK regional staff:
Regional Development Managers (RDMs)
RDMs are responsible for building partnerships with local and regional sports and schools organisations in their respective regions. Funding applications for clubs, schools, youth organisations and the like are also the responsibility of RDMs.
Regional Coach and Club Development Officers (RCCDOs)
These are our resident coaching, club and technical experts, in post to work with coaches and clubs in their region to grow the game and promote different levels of play. RCCDOs oversee the coaching workforce, including delivering coaching courses, mentoring volunteer coaches and arranging placements.

BSUK has a Coach Education Programme that can train school staff to deliver our sports. Appropriate courses include a Foundation Level course that can be delivered in one day and a Level 1 Coaching Course. A Level 2 course is also available for more advanced baseball/softball coaches.
