National University Baseball & Softball Conference 2017

This event has been postponed from its original date of 30 September.

The third University Baseball and Softball Conference will be held on Saturday, 30 September at the Holte School, Birmingham.

The day offers an opportunity for those involved. or wanting to become involved, in baseball or softball within the university environment. It will be a chance to get together and share ideas about the growth of the sports in this sector.

Training will be provided in a series of workshops. For those who are not currently qualified, we will also be running a BSUK Activator course on the day. This course is designed to engage players of all abilities, keeping sessions fun and focusing on participation through challenges, mini-games as well as skill development.

We are currently able to support two members of each university to attend, however, as the date approaches extras spaces may be opened up.

USO/UBO Programme

The University Softball Officer programme was born out of an idea put forward in 2011 by the BSUK Youth Panel (now called the BSUK Future Leaders). Closely following behind this the UBO programme also commenced, giving similar benefits to those who wanted to develop baseball within their universities.

Since 2009 the university sector has grown from five teams to now having over 1,000 new participants finding the sports through this route. To maintain this growth and sustain the current teams, we hope that this conference will support you in the coming year to further this crucial area of development.
