International softball stars to run fastpitch clinics on 2 and 3 July

Tue 27 Jun 2017

Two international fastpitch softball stars will be taking part in the MLB Battlegrounds event in Hyde Park on July Fourth – and BSUK and MLB have now arranged for them to run special clinics for youth and adult players on 2 and 3 July.

The players are Taylor Hoagland, a World and Pan Am Games champion with Team USA, who was also a First Team All-American at the University of Texas, and Karla Claudio, a pitcher and utility player with the Puerto Rican National Team, who attended Santa Fe College in the United States and played with Puerto Rico in the 2014 WBSC World Championship in the Netherlands.

The clinics

The first clinic that the two players will deliver will run on Sunday 2 July starting from 4.00 pm at Farnham Park near Slough (SL2 3BP), and will be aimed at athletes under 13.  The clinic will focus on softball fundamentals.

The second clinic, aimed at all players 14 and up, will be held on Monday 3 July at the London Mets ground in Finsbury Park (N4 1EE, located at the junction of Endymion Road and Green Lanes), from 7.00-9.00 pm, and will focus on hitting and infield work.

The cost for all youth athletes under the age of 18 will be £10, while adult athletes will pay £15.

Limited spaces are available, so players who want to attend one of the clinics should sign up as soon as possible via this link:  https://bsuk.wufoo.eu/forms/z14005uz134if2o/.

Don’t miss out on an opportunity to learn from world class athletes, and please pass on this information to friends, teammates, students, kids and colleagues.
