Comprehensive new-look Team Finder relaunched

Wed 20 Nov 2019

BaseballSoftballUK recently completed a complete overhaul of the Team Finder application on its website, baseballsoftballuk.com. An invaluable tool to help new and prospective players find local baseball teams, softball teams, clubs and leagues, this is an upgrade of the former Diamond Finder that has been a fixture of BSUK’s website since 2011.

The new Team Finder, created by BaseballSoftballUK’s Head of Operations Tim Stride, is the most comprehensive and inclusive available in the UK today for baseball and softball, listing information for teams, clubs and leagues affiliated to both the British Baseball and Softball Federations, as well as independent teams. Using Google Maps, the new Team Finder is mobile friendly and has been updated with the latest information provided by teams, clubs and leagues.

In order to keep the Team Finder accurate and up to date, all teams, clubs and leagues are encouraged to send updates to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). When sending in an update, administrators are asked to provide the following information:

  • Club/league name
  • Sport type (baseball / slowpitch softball / fastpitch softball / youth)
  • Postal address of the ground where you play, including postcode
  • Website address
  • Social media handles (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram as applicable)

If applicable:

  • Contact person (for new player enquiries)
  • Email address (for new player enquiries)
  • Phone number (for new player enquiries)
  • Federation affiliation

“The new Team Finder represents a huge leap forward in our ability to accurately match new and prospective players with teams, clubs and league in their local area,” said Chris Rawlings, Head of Development for BaseballSoftballUK. “This is a significant step in the right direction for getting people into the game, with information now much more accessible and clearly presented. We would like to encourage all baseball and softball teams, clubs and leagues to provide their information so that we can continue to signpost new players into the most appropriate playing opportunity."

Members of the playing community and fans alike are encouraged to share the team finder with as many people as possible as we hope to grow the game nationwide!
