BaseballSoftballUK seeks commercial partner
Thu 12 Jul 2012
BaseballSoftballUK (BSUK) is seeking to commission an agency to enter into partnership to grow the commercial income for the two sports in line with the strategic objectives of baseball and softball in the UK.
The development agency for baseball and softball, BSUK receives grant funding from Sport England and is looking toward the next funding period, 2013-2017. As this grant aid is focused on specific development initiatives to grow and develop baseball and softball, BSUK's Board of Directors is keen over this next funding cycle to make good use of its properties in order to grow revenue from other sources. This will complement the grant funding and open up further opportunities to advance the sports, in areas such as local participation, and coach and officials development. In particular, this extra revenue could help develop the Great Britain baseball and softball programmes which currently do not benefit from government funding.
BSUK has put together a Commercial Partnership Tender Brief for potential partner agencies which details the objectives and expectations of the partnership along with guidelines for submitting a tender.
The deadline for submission of tenders is Friday 27 July.
It is expected that an agency will be appointed by early autumn. For further details please read the Commercial Partnership Tender Brief.
