    The Birmingham Bobcats Softball Club held a softball training evening for the Waterworks Safe Haven Youth Club at the end of September, in conjunction with Edgbaston Police and with assistance from BSUK.

    Leicester baseball and softball clubs to hold “Come and Try” softball sessions starting October 16

    The opportunity to try out the sport of softball and then play for one of Leicester’s softball clubs is now available thanks to National Lottery funding that will support 10 “Come and Try” sessions this autumn run jointly by the Leicester Blue Sox Baseball Club and Leicester Royals Softball Club..

    The Guildford Mavericks Baseball Club is running eight weeks of introductory indoor baseball sessions this autumn, aimed at players with little or no experience of the game.

    September tournament caps successful season for new softball teams in the North West

    BSUK’s project to create new adult slowpitch softball teams in the North West region this year led to three new teams and two successful tournaments, one in August and one at the end of September.

    GB Academies and National Teams move to Milton Keynes

    The increasingly dilapidated training centre at Upper Heyford, the home for baseball and softball Academies and national team training since the late 1990s, was abandoned last April. Now a new home for indoor winter training has been found by BSUK in Milton Keynes, at the MK Dons Academy Dome at Woughton on the Green. And the move to Milton Keynes may be part of a larger-scale development for baseball and softball.

    James Pearce resigns from the BSUK and BBF Boards

    James Pearce, a long-standing member of the BSUK Board and Development Strategy Committee, and the Development Official on the BBF Board, has resigned from all three positions due to professional and personal commitments.
