    Baseball clubs received over £100,000 in grant support in the last four years

    Following an analysis of BaseballSoftballUK’s work with clubs over the last funding cycle (April 2013 – Oct 2016) we are happy to report that thanks to the efforts of BaseballSoftballUK and its staff baseball clubs have received £103,688* in grant and income support. This is cash that has gone directly into the pockets of baseball clubs in an effort to help them achieve their own development goals.

    Loughborough claims fourth straight National University Softball title

    Twelve softball teams came to Farnham Park on Saturday 15 October to contest the autumn edition of the 2016 National University Softball Championships.  After eight hours of fierce competition, Loughborough University Thunder claimed their fourth straight national title.

    Archway School in Stroud hosted the third Gloucestershire School Games softball finals for post-16 students on Thursday 13 October, and by winning the tournament, the school cemented its place as the hotbed of softball in the county.

    Eight university baseball teams descended on Farnham Park over the weekend of 8-9 October to contest the autumn edition of the 2016 National University Baseball Championships, and it was Durham University that emerged victorious to claim their first-ever title.

    BaseballSoftball UK is now accepting applications from aspiring young coaches and umpires, and from athletes who attend BSUK’s High Performance Academy, who want to be part of the second-ever baseball and softball cohort to attend the annual Youth Sport Trust National Talent Camp.

    New coaching courses ready for the 2016-17 offseason

    Newly-designed coaching courses from BaseballSoftballUK are ready to be delivered this offseason, with the first new Coach Award / (Level 2) courses taking place in Nottingham on 6 November, 27 November and 4 December at the Ellis Guildford School.

    Second University Baseball and Softball Conference takes place in Kettering

    Students from across the country descended on Arena Sports Kettering in Northampton on Saturday 24 September for the second annual National University Baseball and Softball Conference.  The conference provided delegates and BSUK staff with an opportunity to discuss all things university baseball and softball.
