| BSUK confirms its slowpitch tournament dates for 2010 |
BaseballSoftballUK has announced the return of several slowpitch softball events that it will run during the 2010 season in London, most of them at Old Deer Park in Richmond.
BSUK Tournament
The headline act will be the second annual BSUK Softball Tournament on May 22-23 at Old Deer Park, designed for B and C-grade teams. Last year's inaugural event was presented with an award by the BSF as the 2009 Tournament of the Year. In 2010, the competition will be run in support of the Great Britain Slowpitch Team by incorporating their yearly GB Open fundraiser.
As part of the process, BSUK will be soliciting donations on behalf of GB Slowpitch when teams register for the BSUK Tournament. Thanks to a quirk of European Softball Federation scheduling, the GB Slowpitch team will need to finance participation in European Slowpitch Championships both this year and in 2011.

LSF Co-ed First Ball
Now established as a traditional curtain-raiser for London co-ed teams, the LSF Co-Ed First Ball will be run by BSUK on Saturday, May 1 at Old Deer Park.

Single-Sex Slowpitch Series
BSUK will be supporting single-sex slowpitch once again in 2010 by running a series of three tournaments:
– The BSUK Single-Sex Spring Ball on Sunday, May 2.
– The BSUK Single-Sex Summer Ball 1 on Sunday, July 11.
– The BSUK Single-Sex Summer Ball 2 on Sunday, August 8.
All three tournaments will take place at Old Deer Park. The Spring Ball and Summer Ball 1 are for both men's and women's team. The Summer Ball 2 tournament is for men's teams only, but will run on the same weekend as the annual Let the Girls Play Tournament.

Softball World Series
Finally, BSUK will again be running the 12th edition of the Softball World Series at the BA Concorde Club on the weekend of September 11-12.
This invitational event for real and ex-pat national teams has become increasingly popular over the past few years and provides an end-of season highlight for players in the UK and elsewhere in Europe.
