Coach Education Courses

Coach Education LogoBaseballSoftballUK offers coach education courses for those wanting to coach baseball and softball. These usually run during each 'off-season' between October and April.

In autumn 2016, BaseballSoftballUK updated the opportunities available to coaches.  The pathway has been redesigned to ensure that there are more courses available at more affordable price points, while improving the overall quality of the coaching system. Central to these changes is the provision of a course to support every coach, regardless of where they are on their development journey.

There are now four development programmes, diagrammed below, that coaches can take part in: the BSUK Coach Summit, the new Coach Award / (Level 2), the Activators Course and a new programme of CPD for Coaches, which includes nine modules to choose from.

CPD for Coaches

Each development opportunity has been designed to help coaches find the course or event that is right for them, based on their availability, budget or knowledge.

In addition, clubs and leagues can request to host bespoke CPD Modules from the available list, tailored to needs of their coaches.

For more information on these courses and which one might be most suitable for you, download the BSUK Coach Education Pathway document or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

Changes for 2018

Following a thorough review period, BaseballSoftballUK has taken the decision to bring the delivery of our Coach Education programme back in house. This follows a four-year partnership with Sport Structures, who provided administrative and development support to our Coach Education programme.

By regaining total responsibility for our Coach Education programme, we want to achieve several things:

  • Make the process of enrolling as easy as possible for you
  • Ensure that courses are staged in the most appropriate venues for you
  • Ensure that courses are as cost-effective as possible for you and your coaches

From September 2018, the organisation and delivery of our Coach Education courses will return to BaseballSoftballUK. If you would like to discuss holding courses in your area, please contact your BaseballSoftballUK Point Person in the first instance.
