Coach Education courses for baseball and softball 2013
BaseballSoftballUK offers courses in coaching baseball and softball during the 'off-season' between October and April. Foundation 'pre-coaching' courses can be offered at any time throughout the year according to need and these provide a good starting point for a non-player wishing to access Level 1 courses in coaching baseball and softball. Level 2 and 3 courses offer a more advanced tutorial.

Course fees 2013
BSUK Level 1 Assistant Coach Award (2 days) - £100
BSUK Level 2 Coach Award (3 days) - £150
BSUK Level 3 Baseball Coach & Level 3 Softball Coach - £275.00
Potential learners are advised to consult BSUK regional staff and Local Authority sports development officers in good time for advice on possible funding.
Applying for a course
To apply for one of these courses please print off a course application form from the downloads section of the BSUK website, complete and return to the BSUK office, addressed to 'BSUK Coaching Course Application' with a payment cheque made out to ‘BaseballSoftballUK’. The closing date for Level 1 and Level 2 courses is 10 days prior to the start date unless otherwise stated.

The 2013 baseball and softball seasons are upon us, which also means the close of another busy period for BaseballSoftballUK's coach education programme. Since last October we have delivered:

Our Regional Coach and Club Development Officers are always assessing need and demand for these courses and more dates will be posted as they are confirmed. Please contact your regional staff member or the BSUK office if you wish to sign up for a future course. Please include the course type you are seeking and the region in which you are based.

Level 2 Baseball Coach Award - South West
Course Code: L2BB12/5
Location: Bristol, TBC

We are working on holding a Level 2 Award course for potential baseball coaches to be held in Bristol for South West baseball teams.
Coaches who have verifiable experience as an assistant coach but no qualification might be eligible to fast track straight to the Level 2 course. Please contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) at BSUK if you think you might qualify.

Level 2 Softball Coach Award - South / South West
Course Code: L2SB12/03
Location: Solent area, TBC
Dates and times: TBC
We are working on holding a Level 2 Award course for potential softball coaches to be held in the Solent area for south coast and South West softball teams during Spring 2013.
Coaches who have verifiable experience as an assistant coach or team captain but no qualification might be eligible to fast track straight to the Level 2 course. Level 3 Baseball Coach Award

Please contact John Mills or Will Lintern at BaseballSoftballUK to discuss eligibility and possible accreditation of prior learning. At the moment there are no Level 3 workshops in the calendar as we have had little demand from coaches. If you are interested in these programmes please register your interest via coaching@bsuk.com
