The International Softball Federation (ISF) has invited BaseballSoftballUK to draw up a four-year Development Agreement between the ISF and Great Britain so that the ISF can support Fastpitch development in this country.

European Junior Fastpitch Championships, 12–17 July 2004: GB Juniors Girls and Boys both finished in sixth place in their respective competitions, maintaining the same level they achieved in the last championships in 2002.

GB Seniors baseball team went into Friday and Saturday 0-3 in the German Baseball Open, Regensburg. A 3-1 win over a US Athletes team and 4-2 over Austria promoted them to a respectable fourth of six, one game below .500.

The International Olympic Committee has announced that no sports will be dropped for the 2008 Games in Beijing.
